How long do you think it will take for the kits to be vandalized or stolen?
Chicago puts a BandAID on its gun violence problem
So is "mass shooting" becoming a way of life in Chicago?
Sure looks like it, given Chicago's "solution."
It's come to this, according to NBC Chicago:
The City of Chicago is installing hundreds of kits in city buildings to treat bleeding gunshot victims under a new program officials say could help save lives in an emergency.
Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications announced earlier this month that the city has begun installing 426 wall mounted "Bleeding Control Kits" in 269 buildings across the city.
Those buildings include City Hall, Chicago Public Library locations, the Chicago Cultural Center, medical clinics, senior centers and more.
Here's more about them:
Each of the kits contain enough supplies to treat eight victims, with tourniquets, gauze, shears, gloves and an instruction manual.
"The box has eight tourniquets and also gauze, so it's basically to stop the bleeding," Guidice said.
The city purchased the kits for $500 apiece through the federal Urban Areas Security Initiative grant, which was large enough that more will likely be installed in CTA stations and park district sites, according to OEMC.
Officials also noted that bleeding emergencies can stem from multiple causes: "falls, penetrating injuries, gunshot wounds and more."
Sounds a little pricey. Here's what the kits include:

Only hours after announcing that 30 prisoners had died in drug gang violence at the Guayaquil Litoral Penitentiary, national prison director Bolívar Garzón said the final death count could exceed 100. In a Wednesday afternoon press conference Garzón said that the earlier report was premature as was a National Police statement that order had been restored at 8 a.m.

Former DNI John Ratcliffe Refutes General Milley Claim Surrounding Any Intelligence That China Was Worried About a U.S. Attack
[NOTE: For those reading from Capitol Hill, take action immediately. Do not let Ratcliffe and Grenell attempt to fight the corrupt intelligence community from the outside.]
Earlier today Joint Chiefs Chairman, General Mark Milley, again claimed that intelligence was gathered and given to him showing that China was fearful of an imminent attack from the United States prior to Milley’s phone call with Chinese military to assure them the U.S. was not about to attack. This is the same claim that General Milley made yesterday [LINK] about the same issue. WATCH video at 08:52 Prompted:
Immediately after this repeated claim, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe directly refuted Milley on Fox News with Martha MacCallum. The intelligence products used by the Pentagon come from the DNI office, and John Ratcliffe noted there was no intelligence that China held any such concerns. As a result, any justification claim that Milley makes about his motives for the call surrounding “deescalation” are nonsense.
The Chinese did not escalate an issue because the issue did not exist. The Chinese were not worried the U.S. was going to attack. General Milley’s claims are based on a false premise. The question is, did another intelligence agency purposefully lie to Milley, or is Milley making it all up?
If you and I were sitting on a park bench doing nothing, there would be no concerns. However, if you sat down and I said, “I’m not going to hit you“, suddenly you would become concerned. That is the essential outlook for what appears to have taken place.
The intelligence apparatus of the United States created a completely false assertion, false intelligence; and then Milley acted unilaterally based on that false assertion. Keeping in mind that DNI Ratcliffe is very adamant there never was any such intelligence.
♦ If General Milley was that easily manipulated by the intelligence community, most likely the CIA, it doesn’t speak well for his own judgement and discernment considering he is the chief pentagon advisor to the President.
♦ If General Milley was willing to be manipulated by the CIA, and act upon intelligence he knew or suspected to be false, well, then he’s a conspirator within a purposeful effort to undermine the Office of the President and U.S. foreign policy.
Neither of these two scenarios is good; and they both present evidence of a superseding Fourth Branch of Government, operated by a rogue and Machiavellian intelligence community.
As John Ratcliffe noted in his rebuke of General Mark Milley’s justification, if the claim of legitimate intelligence was true, someone would have briefed President Trump about it. No-one from the office of the Director of National Intelligence, or the DoD, or the National Security Council ever saw any evidence that anything like what Milley is claiming actually existed.
The false intelligence that underpins the Milley phone call with China could be the thread that exposes the hidden Fourth Branch of government. If congressional representatives and honest independent media are willing to pull it and not let go.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2021
Republican Rep. Ken Calvert of California says that national security officials have confirmed to him reports that the terrorist who killed 13 U.S. service members and others in Afghanistan last month had been incarcerated in Bagram prison until shortly before the attack.
"U.S. national security officials have now confirmed to me the reports that the August 26th Kabul bomber was a known ISIS-K terrorist that was previously detained at the Bagram prison and was released along with thousands of others just days before the deadly attack," Calvert said, according to a press release.
The lawmaker told Fox News that Indian intelligence sources are reporting that the terrorist was among the incarcerated individuals that the Taliban released from the prison. All American forces were yanked from Bagram Air Base in July, according to the outlet.

Anti Israel lies flourishing among Democrats.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021
Vice President Kamala Harris praised a student who accused Israel of committing "ethnic genocide" and encouraged her speech, saying, "Your truth cannot be suppressed."
What are the details?
Harris — who just finished making a speech at George Mason University in order to commemorate National Voter Registration Day — was taking questions from the audience when a young female student who identified herself as "part Yemeni, part Iranian" asked Harris about funding to Israel and Saudi Arabia, the New York Post reports.
Referring to the Palestinian cause, Fox News reported, the unnamed student said, "I see that over the summer, there have been, like, protests and demonstrations in astronomical numbers standing with Palestine, but then just a few days ago, there were funds allocated to continue backing Israel — which hurts my heart because it's an ethnic genocide and a displacement of people — the same that happened in America — and I'm sure you're aware of this."
Harris continuously nodded while the young woman continued to speak her piece and said that she believed money that would otherwise benefit underprivileged Americans was being funneled into Israel and Saudi Arabia.
"I bring this up also because of the issue of how Americans are struggling because of lack of health care, public health care, lack of affordable housing, and all this money ends up going to inflaming Israel and backing Saudi Arabia and whatnot," the student continued. "And I think that the people have spoken very often in what they do need and I feel like there's a lack of listening, and I just feel like I need to bring this up because it affects my life and people I really care about's lives."
"I'm glad you did," Harris responded. "I'm glad you did. And again, this is about the fact that your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth should not be suppressed."
The Post reported that she continued, "And it must be heard, right? A democracy is at its strongest when everyone participates. It is [at] its weakest when anyone is left out. And that's not only about being physically present, but that your voice is present. … Our goal should be unity, but not uniformity."
Effectively dodging the student's question, Harris later was said to have responded by saying that "healthy debate" in the U.S. is imperative to a strong nation.
"Unity should never be at the expense of telling anyone personally that, for the sake of unity, 'Oh, you be quiet about that thing. You suppress that thing. Let's not deal with that thing.' That's not unity," Harris insisted. "True unity is everyone in that room has a voice. ... The point that you are making about policy that relates to Middle East policy, foreign policy, we still have healthy debates in our country about what is the right path, and nobody's voice should be suppressed on that."

Released on bail?
IIn all, the suspect was found in possession of 15 weapons — including a slingshot
A criminal in Portland, Oregon, was arrested over the weekend after allegedly breaking into a home and threatening responding officers with a sword and axe, police said.
What happened?
According to the Portland Police Bureau, 20-year-old Chance T. Haylett broke into a home in the northeast part of the city on Saturday while brandishing a sword and several other bladed weapons.
Neighbors reportedly alerted law enforcement officers after witnessing Haylett trying to open doors and windows to the house. Thankfully, the residents of the home were not present at the time of the break-in.
When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered a hostile suspect. Haylett became "combative," police recalled in a news release, "charging out the back towards officers on the perimeter while carrying a sword."
Police were able to partially de-escalate the situation by firing a less lethal foam-tip bullet at Haylett, but he still continued to threaten officers with the sword from a distance. At one point, Haylett hurled an axe and several other bladed weapons at the officers, but they were able to dodge the attacks..
After firing another foam-tip bullet at the Haylett, officers were able to move in and apprehend the suspect. In the press release, officers said they "were able to utilize de-escalation skills, develop rapport, and convince the suspect to drop his weapons and surrender."
What else?
Following the incident, Haylett was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. In all, police found he had been in possession of 15 weapons, including a sword, an axe, several knives — and yes, even a slingshot.
Haylett has since been booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of burglary in the first degree, criminal trespass in the first degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon. Police reported that no one was injured in the altercation.
The Macon Telegraph reported that he was arraigned Monday afternoon and was being held on $65,000 bond. But jail records indicate Haylett made bail and was released on his own recognizance Monday.

What's a brief history here?
Gordon Klein, an accounting professor at the university's Anderson School of Management, was suspended in 2020 after students launched a campaign to have him fired.
According to reports, students were upset over the tone of an email Klein sent to a student making it clear that he would not offer grading leniency to black students and that final exams would still be administered despite the ongoing protests across the country.
The professor's email was a response to a non-black student asking that black students be provided special consideration and accommodations due to Floyd's death in May 2020 and the protests that followed. The student in question reportedly requested a "no-harm and shortened final exam, and extended deadlines for final assignments and projects in consideration of black students' well -being in light of nationwide protests against police brutality."
The student added, "This is not a joint effort to get finals canceled for non-black students, but rather an ask that you exercise compassion and leniency with black students in our major," and asked the professor to consider grading the course "on a curve" for black students.
In response, Klein wrote, "Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give black students special treatment, given the tragedy in Minnesota. Do you know the names of the classmates that are black? How can I identify them since we've been having online classes only? Are there any students that may be of mixed parentage, such as black-half Asian? What do you suggest I do with respect then? A full concession or just half?"
Klein then questioned the possibility that a "white [Minneapolis] student" might "possibly be even more devastated" by Floyd's death.
He also quoted Martin Luther King Jr. and said, "Remember that MLK famously said that people should not be evaluated based on the 'color of their skin.' Do you think that your request would run afoul of MLK's admonition?"
Klein was placed on leave after a copy of his email circulated online, sparking students to mobilize and craft a petition demanding his removal despite the original student issuing an apology to Klein for their message.
The dean of the Anderson School ultimately issued an apology for Klein's email response and announced that Klein would be placed on suspension.
In the statement, Dean Antonio Bernardo said that the school was "investigating the situation and plan to address it," and said that Klein's message was "outrageous and simply inexcusable."
"On behalf of Anderson, please accept my apology for the very hurtful sentiments expressed in this message," Bernardo said, noting that the school rejects "racism and violence."
His message added, "Please know that respect and equality for all are core principles at Anderson."
The school has maintained the position that Klein's suspension was due to the "tone" of his message and not because he refused to grant special treatment to those who might have been impacted by Floyd's death or the ensuing protests against police brutality.
Klein was placed on leave on June 3, 2020, but was ultimately reinstated on July 22 after the school's Discrimination Prevention Office exonerated him.
What are the details?
According to the Fix, 64-year-old Klein — who joined the faculty in 1981 — is suing the school for "harming his professional reputation."
His suit, which was filed Tuesday in a state court in Los Angeles, is seeking compensatory damages, punitive damages, and attorney's fees.
“There are many ways to assist the advancement of underrepresented groups in achieving their dreams through a university education," Klein said in an email to the outlet. “However, giving students grades that they did not earn, or giving some identity groups preferential treatment over others, is divisive and inconsistent with the core principles of the university."
A portion of the lawsuit states, "This online campaign expressly mirrored the University's EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) philosophy, arguing that 'equity' required students to prioritize protesting against the 'oppressor' over 'focusing on finishing up our Spring Quarter' by studying for final exams. ... To escape their own academic responsibilities, these agitators also resorted to intimidating UCLA faculty members into canceling final exams and giving all students generous, unearned grades. If a particular professor did not accede to these demands, these activists then coordinated email complaints to the UCLA administrators who oversaw the recalcitrant professor's career advancement and job security."
Klein's lawsuit adds that he suffered "severe emotional distress, trauma, and physical ailments for which he has been treated by his primary care physician, a gastrointestinal physician, and psychiatrist."
He also estimates that he lost more than $500,000 in private consulting contracts due to the negative publicity he sustained as a result of the suspension.
A spokesperson for the school did not return the outlet's request for comment.

Biden Admin Withholds Report on Hezbollah’s Financial Empire
Lawmakers say report could be used to target terror group's funding channels
The Biden administration is withholding from Congress a legally mandated report on Hezbollah's financial empire, information that lawmakers could use to increase pressure on the Iranian-backed terror group.
Congress ordered the State and Treasury Departments in early 2019 to produce a publicly available report on Hezbollah senior leadership's funding channels as part of legislation known as the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act of 2018. The bill mandated a report be produced 180 days after it was passed, by April 2019. The Trump administration never produced a report and the Biden administration is withholding it too.
Republican lawmakers and congressional sources familiar with the matter say the report has become increasingly critical as the Biden administration considers lifting economic sanctions on Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon as the country grapples with a massive cash crunch. Both the State and Treasury Departments declined to provide the Washington Free Beacon with information about the report or answer questions about why they have failed to comply with the law.
Rep. Pat Fallon (R., Texas), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told the Free Beacon the report could be used to target Hezbollah's senior leadership and crack down on their efforts to steal cash and international aid meant for the Lebanese people. This information would also make it harder for the Biden administration to justify rolling back sanctions on Lebanon and providing the country with an economic bailout that could further enrich the terror group.
"I'm not surprised that after botching the retrograde in Afghanistan, the Biden administration is now not complying with reporting requirements stated in the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Amendments Act of 2018," Fallon said. "Additionally, the possibility that this administration will bailout and lift sanctions on Lebanon is a play straight out of the Neville Chamberlain foreign policy playbook. Hezbollah alone is responsible for Lebanon's economic ruin."
As part of that 2018 legislation, Congress mandated a public report on the estimated net worth of Hezbollah's senior leaders, including Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and his closest associates. The report was also to include information of Hezbollah associates, including those working in Lebanon's government, which continues to serve the Iranian-backed terror group.Congressional sources say the Biden administration does not want to disclose the extent of Hezbollah's financial empire as it considers going along with international plans to provide Lebanon with a cash bailout. The issue has received increased congressional scrutiny amid separate reports the Biden administration is prepared to waive economic sanctions on the Assad regime in Syria to facilitate an energy deal with Lebanon.
Congress decided "the unclassified portion of the report required … shall be made available to the public in precompressed, easily downloadable versions that are made available in all appropriate formats," according to the legislation.
One senior congressional source who worked on drafting the original legislation told the Free Beacon that the report could help illustrate to the world and the Lebanese people how much money Hezbollah is stealing to fund its terrorism enterprise and stockpiling of weapons.
"Lebanon is collapsing because of Hezbollah's corruption, that is why this report is so important," said the source, who was not authorized to speak on record. "It is one of the few reports Congress ever designed on Hezbollah that we required to be publicly available on the internet for the world to see. The world deserves to see how much Hassan Nasrallah and his gang have stolen from their own people. Maybe instead of bailing out Hezbollah and lifting sanctions on the brutal Assad regime, the administration can concentrate more on stopping Hezbollah's corruption. We shouldn't reward Hezbollah and their buddy Assad for Hezbollah's own corruption."
Congressional Republicans also have been pushing a package of far-reaching new sanctions on Hezbollah that they say would cut off the group's access to funding. The Hezbollah report's findings would help lawmakers identify the funding channels that should be shut down.
