The Syrian FM said that if war breaks out between Israel and Syria, that it will be "total and take place inside your cities." It looks like the Iran-Syria-Hizballah Axis is planning an offensive war next time around, specifically targeting Israeli civilian centers. With this the case I don't see how Israel can give up anywhere close to the % of Judea and Samaria that people are talking about. As 1949 Israel was only 9 miles wide at its narrowest, if its enemies can interdict traffic over that corridor, there is a real risk that Israel would be unable to reinforce the north.
