LED bulbs hit 100 watts as federal ban looms
I have tried LED work lights (Sears) and wound up throwing them out because of the low light output made seeing under the hood of the car difficult. I have tried the flashlight version, a joke unless you buy the high powered tactical lights for upwards of $100. The LED light itself is unpleasant and harsh so I am no fan.
I do have a TV which is based on LED lighting and it produces a wonderful picture.
They claim the LED lights will last longer but if my experience with the "longer-lasting" CFL's is a barometer they will not last long enough to recoup the cost.
