Palestinians march in support of Jerusalem bus bomber.

Hundreds of Palestinians march in support of Jerusalem bus bombing suspect

A mass demonstration took place on Wednesday as hundreds marched to the yard near the house of the family of the Palestinian teenager suspected of carrying out Monday's Jerusalem bus bombing in a show of support for the young martyr.

Abdel Hamid Abu Srour, 19, a resident of the Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem who is suspected of detonating an explosive on a bus in southern Jerusalem that left 20 others injured, died on Wednesday following multiple surgeries.

Abu Srour was named after his grandfather who was killed in an Israeli bombardment on the headquarters of The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a party that operated in Lebanon in the days of the Israeli incursion to south Lebanon in the 1980's.

A review of Abu Srour's social media profiles revealed that the Palestinian teenager was a great fan of The Palestinian Islamist movement, Hamas. He shared multiple banners in support of the movement and wrote comments revealing his admiration for Yahya Ayyash, former chief bomb maker for Hamas, who was assassinated by by Israel in January 1996.

Participants in the solidarity march chanted their support for Hamas saying, "Ayyash will come back", referring to Yahya Ayyash.

During Ayyash's tenure, Hamas has carried out the most lethal suicide bombings ever to occurr in Israel.

The crowd extolled Abu Srour, shouting "Prepare your swords, we are the sons of Mohammad Deif," reffering to the top commander of Hamas' military wing, who survived an assassinationattempt by the IDF during Operation Protective Edge in August of 2014.

The family of the suspected bomber announced that they would not be receiving condolences until they receive and bury his body.

Despite numerous reports circulating that Abu Srour was the terrorist responsible for the attackand Hamas claiming the attack, the Shin Bet and Police have not confirmed those rumors amid a strict gag order.

During the solidarity march, the masses extolled Abu Srour, shouting "Prepare your swords, we are the sons of Mohammad Deif" (a top commander of Hamas' military wing, Kassam Brigades, who survived an assassination attempt by the IDF during Operation Protective Edge in August 2014).
