EU ambassador: ‘Israel can definitely learn from European experience’ with terrorists
European Union Ambassador Lars Faaborg-Andersen, who recently concluded his four-year mission to Israel, said in a briefing Tuesday, “Europe has adopted a more holistic approach to the war on terror — and Israel can definitely learn from European experience.” Faaborg-Andersen told reporters that while he acknowledges Israel’s extensive and painful experience with terrorism, “there are also other aspects to work with including welfare and educational services and the like.”
“After all these strikes all over the continent, he [Faaborg-Andersen] has the unmitigated gall to tell them they have stuff to learn from the E.U.,” said Pat Gray on today’s “Pat and Stu.”
According to reports, the outgoing ambassador additionally claimed that “Israel would also do well to take a leaf out of Europe’s how-to guide when it comes to fighting Islamic militants,” prompting Pat to ask, “But what are they doing? I don’t see much happening in that regard.”
“So [this is] kinda the approach they are taking on terrorism,” jibed Stu Burguiere in response. “If you close your eyes hard enough, maybe they won’t be there.”
