Ex-US ambassador John Bolton gets testy with Sky News anchor, calls her a ‘munchkin in the media’
Former U.S. ambassador to the U.N., John Bolton, appeared on Sky News with Kay Burley and began hurling personal attacks directed toward her after she pressed Bolton on foreign policy matters involving Iran.
Burley accused Trump of being a “slippery fish” to which Bolton quipped, “You are a munchkin in the media and you may have your opinions but I think your job is to present the news accurately and not editorialize,” after calling her comments inappropriate.
“If you would like to tell me where the president behaved in a way that you disagree, let’s have an example of this and I’d be happy to deal with it,” he continued.
“But it is not slippery. Do you think the United Kingdom is slippery for getting out of the European Union? Maybe you should call your whole country slippery.”
Bolton wasn’t too pleased with her professionalism as she later grilled him on the Paris Climate Accord and climate change. It’s not so much the tough questions but the hostility they’re coming from.
“You know, you can continue in this vein obviously. It’s your network, I assume that your superiors think this is the proper way to conduct interviews,” he said.
