Seven Armed Illegal Aliens Charged in Texas Mall Robbery

(CNSNews.com) -- Seven Mexican nationals who entered the U.S. illegally were arraigned on Monday after they attempted to rob a jewelry store at gunpoint in the La Plaza Mall in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday, local media and Fox News reported.
The seven men were charged with aggravated robbery. During they robbery they brandished handguns and smashed the glass display cases. There were no injuries or gunfire during the attempted robbery, and an undercover police officer with a concealed-carry handgun helped stop the crime.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will take the seven men into custody after they complete their sentences, which has yet to be determined by the court.
The suspects are Zepeda Abner Posos, 24; Alberto Rafael Barrera, 32; Brayan Oliver Melchor, 23; Javier Leobardo Olvera-Ramirez, 22; Angel Rodriguez Mejia, 28; Miguel Quintanilla-Cardenas, 26; and Raul Alberto Rangel-Rivera, 43.
All seven of the illegal aliens were charged with aggravated robbery and received $200,000 bonds, according to KRGV.
Five of the men gave police false names and are facing an additional charge with another $10,000 bond, reported KRGV.
All seven suspects are now in the county jail.
