Democrat Abigail Spanberger Worked at ‘Terror High,’ Which Promoted Violence Against Non-Muslims

Democrat Abigail Spanberger, running against Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) in Virginia’s Seventh District, worked at a Saudi Arabia-owned school known as “terror high,” which had a curriculum that included the promotion of violence against non-Muslims.
Spanberger worked at the Islamic Saudi Academy, funded by the government of Saudi Arabia, between 2002 and 2003 after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. As Breitbart News has noted, the school became so notorious for breeding Islamic terrorists— including one who plotted to murder former President Bush — that the academy is often referred to as “terror high.”
In a 2008 United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) report, the Islamic Saudi Academy was noted for inciting violence and intolerance towards non-Muslims in its curriculum and textbooks.
Two examples of the school’s curriculum promoting violence against Christians and Jews were included in the USCIRF report:
In a twelfth-grade Tafsir (Koranic interpretation) textbook, the authors state that it is permissible for a Muslim to kill an apostate (a convert from Islam), an adulterer, or someone who has murdered a believer intentionally: “He (praised is He) prohibits killing the soul that God has forbidden (to kill) unless for just cause…” Just cause is then defined in the text as “unbelief after belief, adultery, and killing an inviolable believer intentionally.” (Tafsir, Arabic/Sharia, 123) [emphasis added].A twelfth-grade Tawhid (monotheism) textbook states that “[m]ajor polytheism makes blood and wealth permissible,” which in Islamic legal terms means that a Muslim can take the life and property of someone believed to be guilty of this alleged transgression with impunity. (Tawhid, Arabic/Sharia, 15) Under the Saudi interpretation of Islam, “major polytheists” include Shi”a and Sufi Muslims, who visit the shrines of their saints to ask for intercession with God on their behalf, as well as Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists [emphasis added].
The school became so synonymous with inciting violence against non-Muslims and breeding Islamic terrorism that twelve GOP and Democrat senators in 2007 — including Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — asked the State Department to shut down the Saudi-owned academy.
In 2001, two graduates of the Islamic Saudi Academy were denied entry into Israel after they were accused of being suicide bombers. Also, in 2004, former school employee Ismail Selim Elbarasse was arrested on suspicion of aiding a potential terrorist attack and was accused of working closely with the political wing of Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist organization.
