An American oligarch: Michael Bloomberg. Note they're all Democrats except Koch who is Libertarian.

Michael Bloomberg is the richest person in New York

Michael Bloomberg is the richest person in New York, according to a Forbes 2019 analysis of the wealthiest residents by state.
The former mayor is worth $53.8 billion, good enough to be considered the 9th richest person in the world.
Bloomberg replaced Koch Industries majority owner David Koch, who in 2018 was New York’s richest resident with a $51.5 billion fortune, according to Forbes.
Washington took the cake this year with the richest man in the US — and the world — in Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who’s valued at $157 billion, the analysis found.
The richest California resident was Facebook leader Mark Zuckerberg, worth $71 billion. His fortune puts him at ninth richest in the world.
Alaska, on the other hand, is home to the lowest-earning richest people on the list. Leonard Hyde and Jonathan Rubini, both commercial real estate developers, were tied with $300 million fortunes.
