Soros ex-wife quietly sells West Village townhouse for $31.5M

Melissa Schiff, ex-wife of Robert Soros — who once ran his billionaire dad George’s $28 billion investment management firm — has quietly sold her West Village townhouse for an eye-popping $31.5 million in one of the biggest off market deals of the year, Gimme can reveal exclusively.

The 25-foot-wide, four-story townhouse, at 263 W. 11th St., between Bleecker and West 4th streets, is 6,650 square feet. It had not been renovated in more than 20 years and was never on the market.

The price bodes well for the Village, which is teaming with tech billionaires. Other West Village townhouse owners include: Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes; Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence; Sarah Jessica Parker; Bradley Cooper, Julianne Moore, Ellen Barkin, Chipotle’s Steve Ells; Sean Lennon and Marisa Tomei.

During their brutal divorce, Page Six reported that Schiff and Soros were in danger of forfeiting their entire art collection, with pieces by Jeff Koons and Christopher Wool, if they couldn’t agree on a value.

They were also fighting over their farm in Rhinebeck, NY, and a waterfront property on Martha’s Vineyard.

Soros filed for divorce from Schiff, his wife of 22 years, in 2014 — after an affair with a nude model. At the time — just seven years ago — the Village townhouse was valued at $13 million, the Post previously reported.

In 2015, Schiff bought Soros out of the townhouse for $10.5 million.
