Crisis at Louisville Police: Department struggles to recruit as murders rise by 75 per cent and shootings rocket 84 per cent in wake of Breonna Taylor's killing

  • More than 230 cops have left Louisville Metro Police Department since 2020 
  • Departures come amid sharp spike in violent crime in the Kentucky city 
  • Murders have risen by 75 per cent, while non-fatal shootings have gone up by 84 per cent 
  • Department has been in turmoil since March 2020 killing of Breonna Taylor 
  • Taylor, 26, fatally shot by cops executing no-knock search warrant at her home 
  • Department of Justice announced it was reviewing policing in Louisville
