It won't change the mind of a committed Democrat ideologue...it blinds them to the obvious

A U.S. Congresswoman from Pennsylvania might regret voting for a "defund the police" bill after she was the victim of an armed carjacking incident in Philadelphia.

Police say Mary Gay Scanlon was carjacked at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday after attending a tour with other members of Congress.

Scanlon was walking to her vehicle when two armed men approached her and demanded the keys to her blue 2017 Acura MDX. The robbers also made off with her personal cell phone, her government cell phone, her purse, and her identification.

Scanlon's office released a brief statement about the alarming incident.

"The Congresswoman was physically unharmed. She thanks the Philadelphia Police Department for their swift response, and appreciates the efforts of both the Sergeant at Arms in D.C. and her local police department for coordinating with Philly PD to ensure her continued safety."
