Obama's friends: crooks, tax cheats and thugs

A Youngstown man who said he once lost his job and introduced President Barack Obama at a rally on Friday had been accused of stealing trade secrets by a former boss.

Court records show that Daniel Potkanowicz along with a partner in a Youngstown business, were ordered to pay $500,000 to a former employer after a judge ruled in 2009 that they had violated trade secrets. Reports indicate the money has not been paid back.

Potkanowicz said he didn't want to talk about his past.

Potkanowicz, now at a local company Obama toured on Friday, said the president's campaign selected him to speak after talking with management there.

The headline is wrong. He was not just accused by ordered to pay which clearly implies guilt.
