How many insane teachers are out there?

Teacher’s terrible awards also included ‘blending in with white people’

A Texas middle school teacher under fire last week for awarding a “most likely to become a terrorist” superlative handed out more than one offensive accolade.
Anthony Aguirre Junior High teacher Stacey Lockett reportedly gave seventh-grader Sydney Caesar a controversial certificate that named her “most likely to blend in with white people,” news station KRIV reported.
Both Sydney and classmate Lizeth Villanueva — named “most likely to become a terrorist” — were horrified to get the awards in a mock ceremony last week at their school in Channelview, Texas.
“For a child to be called either a terrorist, or she’s not black enough ― basically, now, the students are taking that, and that’s her label for the rest of the school year,” Sydney’s mom Latonya Robinson told KRIV.
She said her daughter was so upset she skipped class the next day.
“We have enough bullying being done by he students, now it’s being done by a teacher,” Robinson said.
The Channelview School District announced last week that Lockett was suspended, but officials haven’t said whether any further disciplinary action will be taken, according to the Huffington Post.
“Channelview Independent School District would like to reassure the community that this incident does not reflect the many good things going on in our district. The district does not condone the incident that occurred and we are taking this matter very seriously,” school officials said in a statement.
