The truth is offensive to the left

Camera catches Baltimore mayor’s surprise & disgust as she tours her own city: ‘You can smell the rats’

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh was captured on camera saying “you can smell the rats” among other derogatory remarks as she toured a low-income neighborhood in the crime-ridden city.
The Democrat mayor was slammed for being offensive and out-of-touch after touring an East Baltimore neighborhood with other city officials, which included vacant homes, the Baltimore Sun reported.
“What the hell? We should just take all this sh*t down,” Pugh is heard saying in the clip, clearly overwhelmed by the scene. “Whoa, you can smell the rats.”
“Whew, Jesus. Oh, my God, you can smell the dead animals,” she added, according to the Sun,

The video has been seen over 1 million times, with her remarks drawing plenty of criticism.
“There’s no way she didn’t know some parts of Baltimore looked like that,” said one social media user.
Another remarked, “At least she honest.”
Those who live in the neighborhood were less impressed.
“Like we less of people,” one resident told The Sun. “What she said was offensive.”
And while he wanted to remain anonymous, Dante Lessane was willing to go on the record.
“That’s not how you talk,” Lessane said. “That’s not professional at all.”
The newspaper reported that twice over the summer, Baltimore’s public markets were temporarily closed after rats were seen scurrying through the aisles.
Hell, some reporters even joke about it online, in a sort of braggadocios manner!

While the overnight removal of Confederate statues from the city was accomplished under Pugh last year, rats appear to be a greater challenge.
Housing commissioner Michael Braverman told The Sun that Pugh is committed to improving the lives of East Baltimore residents.
“I can assure you that community leaders are aware of the mayor’s commitment” to the area, Braverman said. “The mayor cares. That’s why she’s walking.”
Like many Democrat run cities, Balitmore has been riddled with poverty and violence. The relatively small city has made big news for violent riots and even had some constituents calling out for police protection after the lieutenant was suspended for calling Black Lives Matter protesters thugs.
Pugh also famously clashed with A.G. Jeff Sessions over ‘Ferguson-style’ police reforms.
