When did we give over freedom of speech and reality to the whims of the LBGTQ mafia?

Christian entertainer and TV host Mario Lopez may find himself out of a job after making negative remarks about parents who let children as young as 3 years old choose their genders.
According to reports, Lopez's future at "Access Hollywood" could be on the chopping block.
During a June appearance on Candace Owens' podcast, Lopez said that he believed it to be "dangerous" for parents to allow their young children — specifically mentioning the age of 3 — to transition genders.
Lopez apologized after heavy backlash, saying, "The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were. I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful."

What are the details?

On Friday, the Daily Mail reported that NBC executives held an emergency meeting earlier this week to discuss Lopez's future at the network.

A source told the outlet that Lopez, who is due to begin hosting the network's "Access Hollywood" in September, ruffled too many feathers with the remarks, and the network doesn't "see how they can just let this fly." Sources also said that NBC doesn't endorse his comments, as it "prides itself on equality" and "doesn't accept anti-LGBTQ hate speech."
Another source, however, said Lopez's future with the show is not in jeopardy, and production will begin as scheduled.
Producers of "Extra" — where Lopez is a current host — aired their grievances with the host's remarks.
A statement from the producers read, "While we have enjoyed a long relationship with Mario Lopez, who we know to be a caring person, the opinions he expressed in [the Owens] interview do not reflect those of Extra. We wholeheartedly embrace our friends from the LGBTQ community and believe they need support and love. For more support on these issues, you can go to GLAAD.org."

Anything else?

Owens issued a roundabout statement Thursday on the ensuing controversy.
"I have to give an unusual shout out to the @breakfastclubam and @cthagod for having the courage to stand up to the Leftist mob on their show this morning," she wrote. "They said what we all know: Mario Lopez did nothing wrong and he told the truth. The trans lobby is vicious! Gross bullying!"
She added, "I will never back down or apologize for telling the truth. My show brings forth the conversations that people are scared to have publicly. I swim against the current and will never bend to the will of the mob — especially when it comes to child abuse."
