Paul Pelosi reportedly told 911 dispatch that the individual who allegedly attacked him with a hammer in his home “is a friend,” according to a police dispatch call early Friday morning.

The alleged intruder reportedly attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer, which forced him to undergo emergency surgery for his injuries.

Aide to Democratic Congressman Don Beyer Fired After Allegedly Working with Chinese Embassy

Beyer's office said he was unaware of the aide's behavior

An aide to Virginia Democratic Rep. Don Beyer has been fired after an investigation concluded she had been working on behalf of the Chinese Embassy to set up meetings with congressional offices.

The probe conducted by the House Sergeant at Arms discovered the allegations against Barbara Hamlett. Beyer's office was notified of the findings on Tuesday, and she was subsequently terminated.

"Congressman Beyer was totally unaware of these activities prior to being contacted by the House Sergeant At Arms," Beyer’s deputy chief of staff Aaron Fritschner told National Review.

Hamlett's time working in congressional offices dates back to the 1970s, according to congressional data. She had worked as a scheduler in Beyer's office.

During her time on Capitol Hill, Hamlett has worked for several members of Congress, including late Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Penn., former Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., Rep. Mike Honda, D-Calif., Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, D-Texas, and former Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y.

Hamlett allegedly contacted congressional staff through emails, phone calls and office visits to invite them to meetings and lunches on behalf of officials for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Two of the meetings were requested in the context of meals, including one at the Charlie Palmer Steak located near the Capitol.

Pelosi attacker a former Castro (district) nudist and hemp jewelry maker

Reporter Caught on Hot Mic Confirming Media Not Telling Truth About Pelosi Attack (Video)

Paul Pelosi, the husband of Nancy Pelosi, was hospitalized after being attacked in his home (the House Speaker was not there) by a man reported to be a former Castro nudist and hemp jewelry maker named David Depape. That doesn’t sound very “MAGA” but the lib media will no doubt try and make the attacker into a Trump fan one way or another.

There’s something really weird about this Paul Pelosi attack story. Nothing is adding up. But one thing we do know is that the so-called “intruder” is some hippy-dippy dude from Berkeley who sells hemp bracelets and used to belong to a nudist colony. So, they’ll be really hard-pressed to blame this on a Trump supporter.

But we might never know the whole truth!

It appears we are not getting the real story, according to a conversation a mainstream media reporter had with his boss.

On the phone with the boss:

“Hey so is this the dude that is a former nudist dude?”

“Yea okay, is it okay to say any of that stuff?”

“Nope?”

Distressing

A sheriff's deputy in Philadelphia has been arrested for reportedly selling to an illegal immigrant several firearms, two of which may recently have been used in a mass school shooting.

On October 13, Samir Ahmad, 29, allegedly sold firearms to an FBI informant who also happens to be an illegal immigrant. The DOJ said that it has hidden camera and audio footage of the transaction, during which the informant supposedly told Ahmad about his illegal status and expressed fear that he might "get deported" if he were caught possessing a firearm.

"You don’t got to worry about none of that," Ahmad allegedly assured him.

Astonishing call for censorship of Justice Amy Coney Barrett by publishing industry figures

Even as they claim to oppose censorship, a group of almost 500 people (as of the moment) from the literary world — best-selling authors, publishing industry employees, and others — have signed on to a call for Penguin Random House to drop a forthcoming book by Justice Amy Coney Barrett.  Her crime?  Signing on to the majority opinion in the Dobbs case, overturning Roe v. Wade, and returning abortion  to the states.

You can read the letter and the complete list of signatories, posted to Google Documents, here.  It begins:

"Now there will be those who will argue that this could all too easily drift into a form of censorship, albeit self-censorship, but I don't buy that argument. It has to be possible to balance freedom of expression with wider moral and social responsibilities."

 — David Puttnam, "Does the media have a duty of care?" (TED Talk)

As members of the writing, publishing, and broader literary community of the United States, we care deeply about freedom of speech. We also believe it is imperative that publishers uphold their dedication to freedom of speech with a duty of care.

We recognize that harm is done to a democracy not only in the form of censorship, but also in the form of assault on inalienable human rights. As such, we are calling on Penguin Random House to recognize its own history and corporate responsibility commitments by reevaluating its decision to move forward with publishing Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett's forthcoming book.

Does none of these people, presumably skilled in the use of the English language, see the contradiction here?  They hate censorship, but they want Justice Barrett's book suppressed, dropped by one of the biggest publishers in the country.  The very next paragraph says why they want her censored, even though censorship harms democracy:

Hunter Biden's 459 alleged crimes

Right-wing nonprofit research group Marco Polo finally has published its Hunter Biden laptop opus, a thorough forensic examination of every document on the first son’s notorious MacBook computer that he abandoned in a Delaware repair shop in April 2019.

The 634-page report (plus 2,020 footnotes) lists six alleged crimes committed by Joe Biden – including tax evasion and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) – alongside 459 crimes it alleges were committed by Hunter, including illegal foreign lobbying and money laundering.

The group’s firebrand founder Garrett Ziegler, a 26-year-old former deputy to Trump White House adviser Peter Navarro, has sent the report to more than 4,000 people, including every member of the House and Senate, White House staff, US Attorney offices and every contact on the laptop.

He also sent a copy to every one of Hunter’s former classmates in the class of 1988 at the tony Archmere Academy in Delaware. He also sent a copy to every one of Hunter’s former classmates in the class of 1988 at the tony Archmere Academy in Delaware.
