Raise the ethanol level means you will pay more to travel the same distance.

EPA to wait until fall to decide on ehtanol increase (error in headline spelling of ethanol)

1. Nothing you now own runs on 15% ethanol. Read the owners manual for your can, lawn mover, or other small motor and you'll see it limits ethanol to 10%. It WILL damage your motors.

2. Ethanol produces about 20% less energy per gallon. So, you'll get less mileage per tankful and that decreases inversely to the amount of ethanol in the tank.

3. The government wins, you lose: You'll have to buy more gallon to cover the same distance and therefore you;ll be paying at lease 20% more in fuel taxes.

4. Since cars will get lower gas mileage ratings, it will be harder to achieve new CAFE standards.

5. Another blow to the American auto industry.
