Smug Shot of the Week
By now, anyone with half a brain should realize that our White House is full of arrogant, Ivy League criminals who are using our tax dollars to line their own greedy pockets. I plan to highlight these smug gangsters every few days here on Hillbuzz, with the help of artist Jared McAndersen of The Looking Spoon.
I’ll start with our first Smug Shot: Steve Spinner.
You’ve all heard about the Solyndra scandal. At least I hope you have. To get you up to speed, go here ,here, or here.
Steve Spinner is the smug operator who decided which companies got “loans” from the EPA. You know, your tax dollars. Your hard earned money. Given to a company that is allowed to spend YOUR TAX DOLLARS any way it chooses. Even if that means losing all of that money in bankruptcy. What a cool job!
According to the LA TImes,
“Steve Spinner, who helped monitor the Energy Department’s issuance of $25 billion in government loan guarantees to renewable energy projects, was one of Obama’s top fundraisers in 2008 and is raising money for the president’s 2012 reelection campaign.
Spinner did not have any role in the selection of applicants for the loan program and, in fact, was recused from the decision to grant a $535-million loan guarantee to Solyndra Inc. because his wife’s law firm represented the company, administration officials said Friday.
But Spinner’s role as a top official in the Energy Department program, which had not been previously revealed, is likely to spur new inquiries into whether political influence played a role in the handling of the “green” energy fund. Solyndra faces a congressional probe, a criminal investigation and separate internal inquiries at the Energy and Treasury departments.”
By the way, I wonder who got Stevie’s wife that job at Solyndra’s law firm? What am I worrying about. I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.
Anyway, you’ll never guess who Stevie-poo is working for now: The Center For American Progress. Yup, a George Soros operation. Isn’t THAT just too smug?
So in honor of Steve “the spin” Spinner’s less than above board “grant” activities, I’m posting this pay-to-play scum-ball as smug shot of the week.
I hope to see him in an orange jump suit, some day very soon.
