Strict gun controls obviously don't work...so, maybe perpetual football games would?

Armed Robberies Spike Following Redskins Game

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Crime apparently took a backseat Sunday to the Washington Redskins’ first home NFL playoff game in 13 years.
In the same three-hour span in which Super Bowl hopes came crashing down, no robberies were reported in the District, The Washington Post reports. But in the hour following the Redskins’ 24-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, D.C. police received calls about three armed robberies, all involving guns, All-News 99.1 WNEW has confirmed.
The first robbery took place at 7:50 p.m. in the 4400 block of Texas Avenue SE. Police said they later made an arrest in connection to the robbery.
About 10 minutes after the first robbery, police received a call about an armed robbery in the 4400 block of Douglas Street NE.
A third armed robbery was reported about 8:30 p.m. at 23rd Street and Alabama Avenue SE. Police said four black males in ski masks approached the victim and displayed a handgun. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head with the gun, causing a laceration. The suspects then fled with the victim’s wallet, iPhone and backpack.
