Will the Obama regime go to the media and condemn?
A new animated video from the Palestinian militant group Hamas shows Israeli Jews being forced onto ships and sent off to Russia and Germany, set to the tune of Israel’s national anthem.
The video, titled “The End of Hope,” is set to the tune of Israel’s national anthem, “Hatikva,” which means “the hope.” It presents a fantasy reminiscent of ethnic cleansing, with Jews fleeing from the Western Wall and being loaded onto ships to sail far away from Israel.
The animation was broadcast on Hamas’s Al Aqsa television to coincide with Israel’s Independence Day, which was celebrated on Tuesday.
The lyrics of the song were reworked and sung entirely in Hebrew. According to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute, the lyrics include: “The Jews are villains who have been here before. Will someone please tell me what is left of them?”
Over the images of Jews boarding the ships, the vocalist sings, “Two parts [of Jews] – the first will be returned to its land of origin if it so chooses while the fool who insists [on remaining] is doomed to be buried underground.” An image then appears of Israeli minister Rehavam Zeevi, who was assassinated by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 2001.
The animation later shows three masked and armed Palestinian men triumphantly positioned atop the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism and the third-holiest site in Islam, as Palestinian flags fly.
“The name of the holy city will be restored. My capital is Bayt al-Maqdis and not Jerusalem,” the lyrics say, as a flag with the phrase, “Israel is bound to perish” is seen.
