Another vile racist Democrat. And, another case of the double standard. Liberals know the media will not hold them accountable. Et tu. Charlie Rangel?

Uncle Ben, the sequel

Andrew Barovick has finally departed the city’s prestigious bar association after making racist tweets against Chris Moss, the GOP’s black candidate for lieutenant governor. In the process, he exposed the double standard that excuses slurs so long as the offender is a liberal Democrat.
Here’s how it went down.
Gloating over the expected defeat of Moss and his running-mate, Rob Astorino, Barovick tweeted that Moss was “mulling offers to be new spokesmodel for either Cream of Wheat or Uncle Ben’s Rice.”
Confronted by the GOP’s campaign spokesman, Barovick doubled down, insisting “I meant it.” In an interview with Capital New York, Barovick called Moss “an Uncle Tom.” It took another day before Barovick finally apologized, calling his tweet “dumb & offensive.”
More interesting is the reaction of the bar association, whose medical malpractice committee Barovick chaired. The association dismissed calls for Barovick’s removal, merely expressing “dismay at his careless use of offensive and inflammatory language” and suggesting he “be mindful of these concerns going forward.”
Turns out he should have been mindful in the past.
On Tuesday, it emerged Barovick had sent similar tweets about Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima with regard to two other black conservatives, Herman Cain and Michael Steele. Of course, nobody noticed those. But soon after the news emerged, the bar association announced his resignation.
Then again, is Barovick all that surprising when Charlie Rangel can accuse some Republicans of believing “slavery isn’t over” — and no one treats it as out of bounds?
