The Yorkshire Ripper has jumped a 15-month NHS waiting queue for a cataract operation.
Peter Sutcliffe is currently serving 20 life sentences for mass killings but this has not stopped him receiving a taxpayer funded operation even though some people are waiting more than a year for the same surgery.

According to the Sun, the killer was chained to five guards as he was taken from HMP Frankland to Sunderland Eye Infirmary at the end of January.The 45-minute operation is said to have improved Sutcliffe's vision, and he is said to have told a friend he was pleased to be able to read and watch TV.
Conservative MP Alec Shelbrooke told the paper: 'Law-abiding citizens should get priority over those who are a stain on society.'
