Pleased to EAT you: World map of man-eaters reveals where cannibalism STILL exists today
The bloodthirsty "cannibal" - this week found dead in his prison cell - is thought to have feasted on the RIB of his victim, PC Gordon Semple.
But Brizzi is not the only modern day man-eater – here, we reveal the locations where cannibalism remains alive and well.
NORTH KOREA
Kim Jong-un's brutal regime has forced people to take desperate measures as drought and famine grips the Hermit Kingdom.
While the crackpot dictator blows billions on nukes and splashes out on luxury food and wine, his citizens have resorted to eating their own KIDS after being "driven mad by hunger", it is claimed.
One starving dad was executed in 2013 after reportedly killing his daughter for food, before murdering his son after he witnessed the brutal slaying.
And cannibalism is also believed to be rampant in the country's barbaric prison camps.
NIGERIA
A restaurant was shut down by horrified cops who apparently discovered roasted human HEAD was on the menu.
Stunned police arrested 11 people after allegedly finding two human skulls carefully preserved and wrapped in cellophane at an eatery in Anambra, Nigeria.
The macabre "meat" was being sold as a pricey exotic "treat", according to reports in 2014.
One pastor reportedly told a tabloid newspaper about the revolting discovery: "I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such an expensive price," adding:
"Can you imagine people selling human flesh as meat? Seriously I'm beginning to fear people in this part of the world."
BRAZIL
Brazil's own "Sweeney Todd" was caged for 23 years after baking female victims into traditional empanada meat pies.
Satanic serial killer Jorge Beltrao Negromonte murdered one young mum in front for her daughter – then fed his victim to her toddler son.
The self-confessed cannibal plotted with his wife and mistress to snatch unsuspecting women before chopping them up and eating them.
And the bloodthirsty butcher also sold the pastries to oblivious neighbours in Pernambuco, north east Brazil.
One year after being locked up, Negromonte reportedly revealed in 2015: "Human meat, for me, is no different to beef.
"It has the same taste and the same succulent consistency.
"It isn't any more delicious than beef, nor is it less delicious," he told Mail Online.
