LAUGH: Marianne Williamson explains why she has a problem with nuclear energy
In this clip, a student from the University of Maryland asked 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson was asked to explain why her environmental crisis plan called on the United States to stop using all nuclear energy, and if in her plan she identified the problems with nuclear energy.
"If something goes wrong with nuclear energy, I do not think that people have really stopped to take in the horror. See, we need integrated politics. We need to go beyond hard data. We need to go beyond just thinking about the facts. I want you to think about this with your hearts," Williamson said.
"If something goes wrong there, I mean, what are we even talking about," she continued.
"What are you talking about," Pat joked?"
"So what, maybe we'd all be a little warmer or a little cool. I mean, as Americans we all have to decide. That is the problem I have with nuclear," Williamson said.
Pat asserted that he never thought he would see the day when a presidential candidate would tell their constituents they need to stop thinking about the issues, the real facts, and the real data. We need to start thinking about this emotionally.
