Trump Lands Major Endorsements From Democrat Mayors in Minnesota

Trump Lands Major Endorsements From Democrat Mayors in Minnesota

A number of Democrat mayors from Minnesota endorsed President Donald Trump for a second term on Friday as Vice President Mike Pence campaigns in the state.

"Like many in our region, we have voted for Democrats over many decades. We have watched as our constituents' jobs left not only the Iron Range, but our country. By putting tariffs on our products and supporting bad trade deals, politicians like Joe Biden did nothing to help the working class. We lost thousands of jobs, and generations of young people have left the Iron Range in order to provide for their families with good-paying jobs elsewhere. Today, we don't recognize the Democratic Party. It has been moved so far to the left it can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class. The hard-working Minnesotans that built their lives and supported their families here on the Range have been abandoned by radical Democrats. We didn’t choose to leave the Democratic Party, the party left us," the letter, signed by Virginia Mayor Larry Cuffe, Chisholm Mayor John Champa, Ely Mayor Chuck Novak, Two Harbors Mayor Chris Swanson, Eveleth Mayor Robert Vlaisavljevich and Babbitt Mayor Andrea Zupancich, states.

"Yet, four years ago, something wonderful happened. Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States, and he stood up to China, implemented tax cuts, and fought for the working class. Now, four years later, the Iron Range is roaring back to life and for the first time in a very long time, locals are hopeful because of this President's policies and willingness to fight for us," the mayors continue. "Lifelong politicians like Joe Biden are out of touch with the working class, out of touch with what the country needs, and out of touch with those of us here on the Iron Range and in small towns like ours across our nation."

Polling in the North Star State has shown President Trump gaining ground in recent weeks, especially as riots in Minneapolis continue to rage out of control.

Democrats organized street thug militia

Andrew Sullivan: ‘These Despicable Fanatics, Like It Or Not, Are Now In Part The Face Of The Democrats’ (Update)

Andrew Sullivan’s take on the danger posed to Dems by chaos in the streets is worth a read. I don’t agree with all of it but Sullivan seems to be making a genuine attempt to not be guided by talking points from either side of the aisle and it’s interesting to watch even if it’s not a completely successful effort. Frankly, some of what he says seems to at least partly contradict other things he’s saying but I guess that’s what happens sometimes when you’re reacting honestly and not just picking sides. Mostly what comes through is his disgust at the rioting which Democrats have only belatedly realized could be a problem.

Here’s one thing I have absolutely no conflict about. Rioting and lawlessness is evil. And any civil authority that permits, condones or dismisses violence, looting and mayhem in the streets disqualifies itself from any legitimacy. This comes first. If one party supports everything I believe in but doesn’t believe in maintaining law and order all the time and everywhere, I’ll back a party that does. In that sense, I’m a one-issue voter, because without order, there is no room for any other issue. Disorder always and everywhere begets more disorder; the minute the authorities appear to permit such violence, it is destined to grow. And if liberals do not defend order, fascists will.

Here is a quote from Yoom Nguyen, owner of the Lotus Restaurant in Minneapolis, who just witnessed a second assault on his business: “Watching looters bust down our family restaurant is so heartbreaking. Senseless, they’re doing it while laughing and smirking. Not gonna lie, I damn near shot a man tonight. He threw that fucking rock at my family photo and looked right at me. I said ‘you motherfucker …’ tears immediately rolled down my face. I just can’t no more. I’m thankful I walked away but Fuck y’all.” This is how violence metastasizes. And as I’ve watched protests devolve over the summer into a series of riots, arson expeditions, and lawless occupations of city blocks, along with disgusting and often racist profanity, I’ve begun to feel similarly. And when I watched the Democratic Convention and heard close to nothing about ending this lawlessness, I noted the silence.

Sullivan’s conclusion from the silence at the DNC is that Democrats aren’t willing to call out the extremism in their ranks:

All this reassurance played out against a backdrop of Kenosha, which was burning, and Minneapolis, where a suicide led to a bout of opportunistic looting, and Washington DC, where mobs of wokesters went through the city chanting obscenities, invading others’ spaces, demanding bystanders raise fists in solidarity, with occasional spasms of violence. These despicable fanatics, like it or not, are now in part the face of the Democrats: a snarling bunch of self-righteous, entitled bigots, chanting slogans rooted in pseudo-Marxist claptrap, erecting guillotines — guillotines! — in the streets as emblems of their agenda. They are not arguing; they are attempting to coerce. And liberals, from the Biden campaign to the New York Times, are too cowardly and intimidated to call out these bullies and expel them from the ranks.

The guillotine thing is very real.

Rioters in Portland have been doing there thing while their mobile DJ plays “We got the guillotine” by The Coup. So it’s not an isolated sentiment.

One place where I disagree with Sullivan is the idea that it would be easy to separate the extremists and expel them as he suggests. As I wrote here, these aren’t just an easily rebuked group of identifiable extremists. This is a woke mindset which is gradually seeping in to the entire party. On the most fringe are those who think rioting isn’t violence. Then there are those who agree it is violence but who also think speech is violence so violence in response is justified. Then there are those who don’t want to engage in violence but won’t speak up to discourage others who feel differently because they agree a “diversity of tactics” is best.

Many of us on the right saw this coming back when it was just conservatives being shouted down on college campuses. Now some of these same attitudes are out there in the streets and it’s not going to be easy to put the genie back in the bottle. Frankly, I don’t think most Democrats realize just how far down this road they’ve gone already.

Update: Not surprisingly, people on the left are calling Sullivan a fascist over this piece.

An endorsement of Biden the media will try to hide...Richard Spencer a racist and anti Semite

America's leading white supremacist announces his surprise endorsement

One of the most revolting things about Joe Biden's candidacy is his dishonest insistence that Donald Trump called white supremacists "fine people."  Democrats have successfully used this hoax to brainwash large parts of the American public into believing that Trump and his supporters are racists and anti-Semites.  One wonders, therefore, how much consternation there is in Biden campaign headquarters now that Richard Spencer, one of America's best known neo-Nazis, is all in for Biden.

To fully appreciate what should be one of the biggest stories in the presidential campaign, there are two things you need to know: (1) who Richard Spencer is and (2) what the "fine people hoax" is.

Richard Spencer

Richard Spencer is an unapologetic neo-Nazi.  He's frequently seen giving Nazi salutes, quoting Nazi propaganda, and making openly anti-Semitic statements.  He thinks Haitians should be re-enslaved and that racial minorities should be removed from America.  Not surprisingly, his wife has accused him of verbal and physical abuse.  He is a terrible human being.

Spencer organized and was a featured speaker in at an August 2017 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.  That fact brings us to the...

Fine People Hoax

Spencer was in Charlottesville in August 2017 for a Unite the Right rally that saw neo-Nazis parading through the streets shouting anti-black and anti-Semitic slogans.  The reason that the neo-Nazis descended on Charlottesville was that the town was contemplating pulling down a famous statue of Robert E. Lee.

The debate over the statue meant that Charlottesville saw a convergence of Black Lives Matter–supporters, white supremacists, people who opposed the Confederacy but who also objected to willy-nilly tearing down signs of America's history, and people who were curious about the whole event. While the protest was at its height, James Alex Fields, one of the white supremacists, drove his car into a crowd, killing Heather Heyer.

Because the media had already tarred Trump as a racist based upon his promise to enforce existing laws regarding America's southern border, they naturally asked him about the events in Charlottesville.  Trump expressed his concern about deconstructing America's past — comments that proved to be remarkably prescient when one looks at the Black Lives Matter and Antifa madness in June and July.

In that context, Trumped mentioned that there were people at the rally who were "fine people" because they shared this concern about mindlessly attacking American history.  Without any prompting, Trump then immediately clarified that, when he spoke of "fine people," he wasn't referring to the Spencer crowd of neo-Nazis and other white supremacists:

Despite Trump's crystalline clarity, the media instantly created their hoax, falsely proclaiming that Trump had called white supremacists "fine people."  Joe Biden has been running with this hoax ever since.  Indeed, it's the accusation at the core of Biden's campaign, for he mentioned it when he announced his candidacy; when he accepted the nomination; and when he had a brief, tightly controlled interview with ABC.  If you want to hear how foul Biden is in this regard, listen to Scott Adams (language warning):

To sum it up, Richard Spencer is a vile racist and anti-Semite. President Trump strongly denounced Richard Spencer and all other white supremacists.  Nevertheless, Joe Biden continuously lies about Trump's denunciation, pretending Trump is allied with white supremacists, as are Trump's supporters.

With that in mind, please enjoy — and share — Richard Spencer's endorsement in the 2020 presidential election:

You read that correctly: one of the leaders of America's few, but vile and toxic, white supremacists just endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.  There's a kind of beautiful symmetry to this, not just because Biden's been lying for over a year about Trump, but also because the KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists originated in the Democrat party.  With his Biden endorsement, Spencer is bringing the haters back home.

A rising star

Baltimore GOP Candidate Kimberly Klacik Lays Down an Absolute Knockout With Stunning New Campaign Ad

In a photo taken Tuesday, April 21, 2020, Kimberly Klacik, who is the Republican 7th Congressional District candidate, poses for The Associated Press outside her campaign headquarters in Timonium, Md. The office sits empty because of the coronavirus outbreak. Democrat Kweisi Mfume and Klacik won special primaries for the Maryland congressional seat that was held by the late Elijah Cummings. (AP Photo/Julio Cortez)

Kimberly Klacik is a Republican Congressional candidate from Maryland’s 7th district. That would be the heart of Baltimore.

We could tell you all about Klacik’s political qualifications, activism work, and upbringing.

Or we could just show you her latest campaign ad, a stunning kill-shot straight into the heart of Democrat talking points. In the ad, a sharp-looking Klacik takes viewers on a walk through Baltimore. She asks us to put aside the typical talking points and look directly at the visible evidence of decades of exclusive Democrat control. Klacik walks past boarded-up buildings and abandoned property, trash-filled streets and barren neighborhoods. She points out the reality of life in Baltimore, a reality that corporate media ignores daily in favor of a narrative that makes Trump and all Republicans squarely to blame for inner city failures even though Republicans haven’t been welcome there for decades.

As you watch this video, keep in mind that this is the district the late Elijah Cummings represented for well over two decades. Klacik forces viewers to take a look at the conditions and ask themselves if electing the same type of representative would represent any forward movement in Baltimore in any way? At what point do we look around and say that the people saying we need to elect them to fix this mess never keep their promises? We rightly hailed Cummings as a civil rights figure, but his track record later in his career was an absolute failure for the black community he represented. Klacik lays it all out in real time.

And it is devastating.

And so are those heels!

If you like this, head over to Kimforcongress.com and show some love. As a Republican, Klacik has an uphill battle but with ads like this, she’s definitely still in the fight.

Declassified transcripts add to evidence that FBI had no legal basis to interview Michael Flynn

In call with Russian ambassador, Flynn urged 'we need cool heads to prevail' on sanctions. That's a policy dispute, not a crime, FBI expert says.By John Solomon

In the end, the words that Michael Flynn uttered to Russia's ambassador that landed the former Trump national security in a three-year legal nightmare were simply this: "We need cool heads to prevail."
That was the message Flynn delivered to Sergey Kislyak on Dec. 29, 2016, the day outgoing President Barack Obama imposed sanctions on Russia for meddling in the U.S. election, according to newly declassified transcripts of the conversation.
Yes, Flynn talked sanctions. But his message not to escalate a sanctions war was similar to what his future boss, Donald Trump, presented the next day and what many other experts recommended. And it was hardly words worthy of a crime or a counterintelligence threat, a fact that the career agents who worked the Flynn case concluded on their own before their bosses meddled in the matter.
The long-awaited release of the transcripts by new Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe adds to a growing body of evidence that shows the FBI had no basis to interview Flynn, a retired general, in January 2014 or to continue investigating him at the start of the Trump presidency, experts told Just the News.
"Bottom line: the phone call was a foreign policy discussion on behalf of an incoming president. It is of zero counter intelligence interest or any legitimate concern for the FBI,” former FBI assistant director for intelligence Kevin Brock said.
"The fact that Flynn later misrepresented to the VP [Mike Pence] what he said about sanctions during the call is immaterial to the question of whether the FBI had any legal right to interview him in the first place," he added. "It appears that the FBI interviewed Flynn because he signaled that the new administration might go in a different policy direction than the outgoing administration. That is not the FBI's role."
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson agreed. "All of the innuendo about Lt. General Flynn this whole time was totally bunk. There was nothing improper about his call, and the FBI knew it," Grassley said late Friday.
You can read the transcripts here.
The transcripts are the final piece of evidence that supports why Attorney General William Barr decided to ask that Flynn's guilty plea and charge of lying to the FBI in a Jan. 24, 2017 interview be dismissed.
Previously, the Justice Department disclosed belatedly that on Jan. 4, 2017 the FBI agent who investigated Flynn for possible illicit ties to Russia had concluded there was "no derogatory information" in intelligence files to suggest Flynn committed a crime, posed a counterintelligence threat or acted as a Russian asset.
That agent, memos show, recommended the case be closed but he was stopped at the last minute by FBI supervisors, who then pivoted to the idea of forcing Flynn to be interviewed by agents. The theory the FBI had was that Flynn's call with Kislyak might have violated the Logan Act and its prohibition on Americans interfering in foreign policy. But FBI officials were told quickly by Justice officials that charging Flynn under the Logan Act was unrealistic, a stretch, a long-shot.
But the James Comey-led FBI proceeded with the interview anyway, failing to follow normal protocol of alerting the White House and instead interviewing Flynn off-guard. In that interview, Flynn said he didn't think he had discussed sanctions issues with Kislyak, such as the expulsion of diplomats. But he said it was possible that he just did not remember it, according to an FBI summary of the interview written after the fact.
His new lawyer Sidney Powell, whose work unraveled the case, said Flynn believes he also told the FBI it was possible he told Kislyak not to get in a "tit-for-tat" over sanctions, but the agents who interviewed him did not record that comment. That "tit-for-tat" comments shows up in the transcripts.
The agents did, however, conclude they did not believe Flynn was being deceptive during the interview and simply may have forgotten the specifics of the conversation. Nonetheless, the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller chose to force Flynn into a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.
The entire ordeal led one FBI senior executive, William Priestap, to write in his handwritten notes that he feared the bureau was "playing games" with the Flynn interview and may have been trying to catch Flynn in a lie "so we can prosecute him and get him fired."
Whatever the case, the transcripts make clear that the Flynn-Kislyak calls were mostly routine for an incoming national security adviser seeking to build a relationship with one of America's most important frenemies.
The two wished each other a Merry Christmas, talked about Middle East policy and their shared interest in defeating ISIS and how they might avoid an escalating war of sanctions after Obama punished Russia for meddling in the 2016 elections by hacking emails and buying Facebook ads.
"So, depending on what actions they take over this current issue of cyber stuff, where they are looking like they are going to dismiss some number of Russians out of the country. I understand all that and I understand that the information that they have and all that," Flynn told Kislyak in the Dec. 29, 2016 call.
"But I ask Russia to do is to not, if anything, I know you have to have some sort of action, to only make it reciprocal; don't go any further than you have to because I don't want us to get into something that have to escalate to tit-for-tat. Do you follow me?"
Flynn added, "We need cool heads to prevail, and we need to be very steady about what we're going to do because we have absolutely a common threat in the Middle East right now."
It was that same day that Obama imposed penalties on Russia for efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election – including economic sanctions and expelling 35 Russians. But Moscow did not immediately retaliate. The next day, President-elect Trump praised Vladimir Putin for holding his fire, tweeting it was a “great move” and “I always knew he was very smart!”
Comey later testified to Congress that the Russians' failure to retaliate for the sanctions perplexed departing Obama national security officials, who ordered an all-out search to find out what happened. The search led to the discovery of the Flynn intercepts, which eventually were shared with Obama.
"The last couple days of December and the first couple days of January, all the intelligence community was trying to figure out, so what is going on here? Why have the Russians reacted the way they did, which confused us?" Comey told Congress.
"And so we were all tasked to find out: do you have anything [redacted] that might reflect on this and that turned up these calls at the end of December, beginning of January. And then I briefed it to the director of national intelligence and Director Clapper asked for copies [redacted], which I shared with him."
So in the end, the interview of Flynn that followed was not about a crime, an act of disloyalty or counterintelligence threat. It was about an outgoing administration's fear that the new sheriff in town might have a different policy on Russia.
That is the sort of stuff, Brock and other experts noted, that should get settled by elections and not be the investigative and charging powers of law enforcement.

Funny how Democrats can ignore their legislative history and get away with it.

As Joe Biden was Senator from Delaware, the home to a large number of corporate domiciles, I bet he never inserted a specific tax break into any tax law?

Joe Biden Calls Out Amazon. Amazon Torches Him In Statement.

By  Ryan SaavedraDailyWire.com

Amazon fired back at presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden late on Friday after Biden accused Amazon of not paying “its fair share.”
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: No company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers,” Biden tweeted. “It’s time for Amazon to pay its fair share.”
Included in Biden’s tweet was a link to a CNBC news article that highlighted remarks Biden had given on Friday morning during an interview with the publication.
“I don’t think any company, I don’t give a damn how big they are, the Lord almighty, should absolutely be in a position where they pay no tax and make billions and billions and billions of dollars, No. 1,” Biden said. “The whole notion of this is: Are you playing the game fairly? What’s the capitalist system all about? The capitalist system is about everyone dealing fairly and dealing straight up with the American people and with their employees.”
Amazon responded to Biden’s remarks several hours after he posted his tweet, writing: “Joe Biden, We pay every cent owed. You spent 3 decades in the Senate & know that Congress wrote these tax laws to encourage companies to invest in the US economy. We have. 500k jobs w/ a min wage of $15/hr across 40 states. Assume your complaint is w/ the tax code, not Amazon.”

Here are the remarks that Biden made on CNBC about Amazon
ANDREW ROSS SORKIN: Mr. Vice President, just following up on that issue. Elizabeth Warren has talked about trying to break up Amazon, a company that so many Americans have become so reliant on providing essential services during this pandemic. When you seek to break that company up?
VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: I think Amazon should start paying their taxes. Okay. I don’t think any company, I don’t give a damn how they are, Lord Almighty, should actually be in a position where they pay no taxes and make billions and billions and billions of dollars. Number one. Number two, I think that companies should be in a position where they start paying their employees a decent wage and protect their employees. And so, that’s the whole notion of this is, are you playing the game? Like it was set up long before. What’s the capitalist system all about? The capitalist system is about everybody doing — having a — dealing fairly and dealing straight up with the American people and with their employees. We’re not investing nearly as much as we should be doing in a whole range of areas. You know, that study that was done by the University of Massachusetts, 2004 to 2014, Corporate America. And I come from a corporate capital of the world, Delaware. And I’m not anti-corporate. But here’s the deal. the idea that they made several trillion dollars, and all the studies show that 54% went to buy back their stock, 37% to make sure their stockholders got rewarded, leaving 9% for research, development, raises, employment, etc. Come on, man. That’s not the capitalist system. You know, Friedman is not alive and well. But he seems to be running the show here.
Biden’s tweet calling out Amazon came after he made what were widely deemed as racist remarks about black people during a separate interview on Friday morning, saying, “I tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
