How the news distorts

Watching the local news tonight I was not disappointed in the expected inaccuracies in the reporting about Nelson Mandela. Simple stuff like the Nobel Peace Prize. The reporter said that Mandela won the prize, they never mentioned that he shared it with DeKerk. Could it be an act of political correctness? Ignoring or painting out of the picture the man whose cooperation made it possible to avoid a race war.

Now, I take nothing away from Mandela's achievement. But, to skew history is to deny history. The media follows the totalitarian meme of writing out of history those they don't like or disagree with.
