Entitled to violence
Four people were arrested after a wild, late-night brawl at a New Jersey McDonald’s, police said.
The caught-on-video melee erupted around 12:30 a.m. Saturday after a 17-year-old girl went behind the counter and assaulted an employee at a McDonald’s on Arkansas Avenue in Atlantic City, Sgt. Kevin Fair told The Post.
A second teen, also 17, then hopped onto the counter and sprayed a security guard in the face with pepper spray as he responded to the altercation, video shows.
“She maced a security guard!” one shocked onlooker said.
The teen then stumbled off the counter and approached employees as they huddled behind a door leading to the kitchen. Other customers inside the restaurant are seen getting rowdy as well, throwing cups and straws while demanding faster service.
The teen who pepper-sprayed the security guard is seen knocking over a napkin holder, narrowly missing several employees. Five people are then seen running out of the restaurant, video shows.
“What’s up, b—hes?!” one voice can be heard as the group exits.
The security guard who was assaulted is seen calling police.
Four people were later arrested in connection with the brawl, including Marcus Adderly, 21, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, on charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, police said.
Three 17-year-old girls also were cited in the attack, charged with crimes ranging from unlawful possession of a weapon to simple assault. All four will return to court to face charges at a later date. The suspects were identified with help of the public after video of the fight went viral on social media, police said.
Workers at the McDonald’s, meanwhile, refused medical treatment.
The owner of the restaurant, Anthony Mack, told the Press of Atlantic City that four or five employees were hit with pepper spray.
“They came in and, simply put, they attacked her,” Mack told the newspaper. “Just walked right behind the counter. How bold can you be? They walked right behind the counter and attacked her.”
Mack said: “In all my years of business, I’ve never seen anything like that. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.”
