Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new $14M California home

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid $14,650,000 for the 18,000-square-foot home, which features rose gardens, century-old olive trees, a tennis court, a tea house, children’s cottage and a pool.

It also comes complete with a two-bed guest house, perfect for Markle’s mom, Doria.

After the couple took legal action against photographers for breaching their privacy at their LA rental home, there’s no way that anyone is getting into their new pad, which is gated and secure.

As we revealed, they plan for this to be the perfect family home for their 1-year-old son, Archie, and any future children.

A source denied that the Sussexes had borrowed the cash for their house from Prince Charles, as rumored.

The source stressed: “Meghan and Harry finally feel like they are on their own, and it feels great. They bought this house without help from his family, they aren’t using it on loan from a friend as they had before. It’s truly theirs and they can’t wait to make it a home.”

They moved to Santa Barbara last month after spending lockdown in Tyler Perry’s $17 million Beverly Hills mansion.

A source told us: “Meghan and Harry were totally blown away by Tyler’s generosity.

“They are so excited to truly begin their life together in California, but they’ll never forget the kindness that he showed them.”

Their new upscale California community is also home to their friends Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Amid much speculation that the couple would buy a place in Los Angeles, another source said this week: “Harry and Meghan have been quietly living in their own home in Santa Barbara since early July.

“They are not houseguests of Oprah or anyone else, they bought this home themselves. This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK.

“This is the first home either of them has ever owned. It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family — to have complete privacy for six weeks since they moved in,” the source continued.

“They intend to put down their roots in this house and the quiet community, which has considerable privacy. This is where they want to bring Archie up, where they hope he can have as normal a life as possible.”

The source added, “Harry and Meghan never intended to make Los Angeles their home. It was a good place for them to be upon their arrival in the US to be close to Meghan’s mom [who lives in LA].”
