Will Mr. Denzel or Hollywood be held responsible? Ha.

Teen Allegedly Tells Carjack Victim: ‘I’m Denzel Washington … Now Drive’

CHICAGO (STMW) — A teenager invoked the name of Academy-Award winning actor Denzel Washington when he carjacked a woman on the West Side earlier this month, prosecutors said.
“I’m Denzel Washington, b—-, now drive,” Perry Wilkerson allegedly told the victim when he came up to her and her Ford with a gun at a gas station at 10 N. Kilbourn Ave.
Wilkerson got in the driver’s seat and fled with the car. He had trouble putting the vehicle into gear, Samp said.
The woman, 24, complied with the 16-year-old’s request in the Sunday incident, but when she saw the boy trying to put a clip in his gray semi-automatic weapon, she slowed the car down to 10 mph and jumped out of the vehicle, assistant Cook County state’s attorney Melissa Samp said.
The victim called 911 and Wilkerson was arrested when he ran out of the vehicle and into a parking lot in the 3900 block of West Washington Boulevard, Samp said.
Wilkerson was charged as an adult with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered the teenager held in lieu of $300,000 bond Friday.
The real travesty will be the short sentence this wannabe thug receives
