- Samuel Brinton, 35, agreed to undergo a mental health evaluation in Minnesota after they were charged for stealing a suitcase at the airport in September
- The evaluation, known as the adult diversion program, will require Brinton to write an apology letter to the victim, pay her and complete community service
- Brinton appeared in court Monday and attempted to avoid jail time of up to five years - after dodging a prison sentence for a similar crime in Las Vegas last week
