Another attempt at deligitimizing the war in Afghanistan by the media

NATO rockets miss target, kill 12 Afghan civilians

A few questions:
Civilians were given two weeks warning to leave the area. The operation was no surprise.
What makes them civilians if they are in a Taliban stronghold?
Is this not a case of the good being held hostage to the perfect?
When the Taliban were in power in Afghanistan I don't recall the concern over civilian casualties.
Even now when the Taliban attack some civilian center where is the outrage in the media? Yes, they report it but dispassionately.
