Union boss Richard Trumka to accuse Republicans, businesses and insurers of ‘economic treason’
The story here is the adversarial attitude unions hold about the people they work for. This is a primary reason jobs are heading offshore. The hostility visible here is what it must be like to negotiate with the union. Living with the fixed idea that you are not in a joint relationship with business makes it impossible to make sound economic decisions.
Under current economic conditions why would any sane business person decide to expand? When the purpose of business becomes making jobs instead of products people want, you're in a dying economy.
