Well, at least he's consistently insane
Matthews was furious. “Where did that line come from? What’s the antecedent to that? Where’d it come from?” he asked.
After an explanation by Alex Wagner, Matthews responded that the slam was probably racially motivated.
“This might have to do with having robocalls by Donald Trump,” Matthews said. “There’s been a bad side to the Romney campaign. He can go out there and talk sweetly about bipartisanship, but behind the curtains when no one’s looking, of course, he’s Donald Trump’s best friends. He’s putting people out there–[Romney campaign co-chair John ]Sununu out there to talk the dirty talk, the ethnic stuff.”
So using the president’s own words to rebuke him is racist now. Got it.
