How Islamists treat suspected homosexuals.

What Jihadists Allegedly Did From the Top of This Roof Is Shocking Even by Islamic State Standards (Graphic Photos)

The Islamic State group said its militants threw a man accused of homosexuality off the roof of a building and then stoned him to death, posting photos to back up the claim.
The Middle East Media Research Institute and the Israeli news site NRG reported that jihadi fighters in the Islamic State-designated region of Wilayat Al-Furat posted photos Wednesday showing armed, masked men throwing a man off a rooftop and then stoning him when he was on the ground. Images showed rocks and bricks next to what appeared to be his lifeless body.
The Islamic State said its court had convicted the man of homosexuality, after which he was executed.
“Following the example of Muslims Caliph Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (ruled 632-634), the Islamic court in Al-Furat province sentenced a man who performed acts of the people of Lot [i.e., homosexual acts] to be cast off the highest place in the town and then stoned to death,” the militant group said in a statement, according to MEMRI.

“Allah’s command [is valid] in both the past and the future,” the statement said.

The “Al-Furat” region, where the execution took place, is the Islamic State group’s self-proclaimed province that includes territories in both Syria and Iraq, and was designed to “break” the borders of the 1916 Sykes-Picot Agreement.
This is not the first time the group has imposed a death sentence for those accused of homosexuality — another facet of its efforts to mete out harsh punishments including stonings and beheadings for what it believes are crimes against Islam.

In November, two people were stoned to death in Syria after being accused of being gay.
In October, a disturbing video emerged from Syria of a woman accused of adultery who was stoned to death even after desperately pleading for her father’s forgiveness. Her father helped the Islamist militants stone her.
Evidence of other recent efforts at imposing Shariah law have appeared online, including images showing armed fighters enforcing Islamic prayer times in Mosul in Iraq.
