The tyranny of the left's microagressions narrative
We’ve already seen the University of California, Berkeley, frowning upon notions that America is a “melting pot” and the “most qualified person” should get the job — and now another college has joined the fray.
The University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, has created a chart of racial microaggressions and posted it on the school’s official website under “New Faculty Resources.”
The chart explores theme, microaggression and message:
Quite a few aren’t new. But one stands out — a variation on a well-known tip for achieving success.
It falls under the “Myth of meritocracy” theme (i.e., the myth that race doesn’t play a role in success). The statement is as follows: “Everyone can succeed in this society, if they work hard enough.”
The “message” this “mircoaggression” is sending?
“People of color are lazy and/or incompetent and need to work harder,” the chart noted.
