New bank fees proposed by Obama...

Say Good Bye to Free Checking at Your Bank, Thanks to Obama's Financial Crisis Responsibility Fees

If you hate your ATM fee, just wait until the reality of Obama's new bank fees go into effect. Obama's bank plan, which he believes will help him regain the love of Americans forcing banks to pay back 'every dime' of the TARP money, will kill conveniences at your bank like free checking. Obama beleives he can play the banks against the taxpayers and win, but the resulting bank fees will further hurt Obama in the end.
For years, banks have allowed consumers free services like free online bill pay, free Internet banking, write as many checks per month without any charges, free overdraft protection, and many other services Americans have come to expect from their banks will soon be over. These new bank fees, called the Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee, will be charged to all banks to cover TARP losses, even if the bank didn't take TARP money.
Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out in the end who really is going to pay back the TARP money under Obama's plan. If you have a checking account, and in today's world it's nearly impossible not to have some type of banking account, these fees will be passed through many of the services you know enjoy for free. Considering this is Obama's plan to regain the trust and support of the American people, well you just have to laugh, since Obama is basically screwing the American people by driving bank fees upwards.
Obama is stupid enough, and I don't know how else to describe it, to believe Americans won't connect the fact their banks are nickel-and-diming them every time they turn around to the new fees he proposes to help repay TARP. They are like any corporate tax. They get passed down to the consumer through higher prices.
And who out there still believes Obama is the brilliant and smart politicians in the history of brilliant and smart politicians? The numbers fortunately are declining.
And if bank fees don't anger you, have you see what Obama has done to the stock market since he announced his war on the banks? I lost some money this week because he opened his mouth attacking the banks. So if bank fees don't upset you, perhaps your 401K plan will after you see the results of Obama's tinkering.

I'm not certain the Congress will go along with the President's proposal. If they're sane they won't. But that's a big assumption these days.
