Fisker Karma madness

I just got a chance to read the review of the Fisker Karma in the latest issue of Road and Track and here's the ugly truth. If you use this as your only car for more then the first 33 miles at a time, you've bought a gas hog. The first 33 miles you're good for 53 mpg. After that when the 260 HP turbo charged engine cuts in to generate electricity you're using a gallon for every 20 miles. The car weights about 5400 pounds. That's as much as a good sized pick up truck.

Tell me this is not a Hollywood stars toy? There are three models. The cheapest at $84K, the middle at $95K and the top line $116K

You, the tax payer are into the car company for $533 million.
