Joe Biden

Oops... its ANOTHER Biden blunder: Vice President unwittingly reveals cover of codeword-classified document

He's well known for his verbal gaffes - now Joe Biden is in the spotlight for making a visual one.
The U.S. Vice President accidentally revealed the cover of a classified document for the world to see while standing absent-mindedly at a press event on Monday.
In a photograph published by AFP/Getty Images, the binder clearly shows the title 'Codeword: Classified Document' emblazoned across it. Below that, it said 'Vice President'.

The contents of the folder, however, could not be seen in the picture.
Biden had been holding talks with President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office over Iran and Syria, the White House told The New York Post.

Biden's gaffes are numerous and legendary in political circles.
In November last year, during a visit to Seaside Heights, New Jersey, after Hurricane Sandy, he meant to be reassuring in saying that 'you've got a homeboy in the deal who gets it' when referring to Barack Obama.
Talking points: Vice President Joe Biden meant to be reassuring by saying that the victims of Hurricane Sandy had 'homeboy' Barack Obama to help them, but some took it to be a racial remark

But commentators quickly jumped on the remark as a racial dig at the President.
On a previous stop on the campaign trail in Ohio last year, Biden complained to an audience in the town of Marion about television ads 'here in Iowa'. In Danville, Virginia, he declared: 'We can win North Carolina!'
In an Ohio campaign speech, Biden once criticised then-GOP presidential candidate Senator John McCain for what he called a 'last-minute economic plan' that did 'nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class.'
He added: 'It happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs.'
And in 2010 he noted that Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen's mother had 'lived in Long Island for ten years or so' before her death.
'God rest her soul,' Biden said somberly, before realising that  'wait – your mom’s still ... your mom’s still alive. Your dad passed. God bless her soul.'
