The kind of gun control the mainstream media would rathe you not see...
An 11-year-old girl was home alone when police say a man pulled into the driveway of the Lapeer County, Michigan, residence and started knocking on all the doors to see if anyone was home. When no one answered, the suspect reportedly forced his way in.
Realizing the potential danger she faced, the young girl grabbed her father’s shotgun and hid inside a closet.
The man reportedly “forced” open the bedroom and closet doors, finding the 11-year-old girl’s hiding place. Then he realized what she was pointing at him: a shotgun.
Detective sergeant Jason Parks told WNEM-TV that the girl’s armed response made the suspect run away. The girl was not harmed during the terrifying incident.
Parks revealed that the girl’s father is an “avid hunter,” therefore, his daughter is “familiar with weapons and inside that closet is where the gun case is.”
Police later arrested Detroit residents James Wasson, 53, and Rhonda Steward, 31, on charges of first-degree home invasion, second-degree home invasion, and burglary tool possession. Wasson will reportedly face additional charged, including “receiving and concealing stolen property valued between $1,000 and $20,000, felon in possession of a firearm and firearm with commission of a felony,” according to WNEM-TV.
“Due to this little girl, her keeping her composure, she was able to observe and articulate what she saw. It definitely made a huge difference in this case and because of that ability, people are in custody,” Parks added.
It wasn’t immediately clear why the girl was home alone at the time.
