Two stories you won't see hyped by the national media because it involves good guys with guns.

Four Violent Muggers Strike Victim in Head With Baton for Moving Too Slowly — That Turns Out to Be a Huge Mistake

Just minutes before the incident, which occurred across the street from a gas station in Detroit, Michigan, the clerk at the gas station said a group of men came inside and asked him for gas money. They then ran across the highway and confronted the 29-year-old man.
The attackers reportedly demanded that he turn over his belongings as he was walking home at around 2 a.m. Thursday. But when the off-duty security guard didn’t give the muggers what they wanted fast enough, one of them struck him in the head with a baton, WJBK-TV reported
But the victim just so happened to be a concealed carry permit holder. So when he was attacked, he defended himself.
The off-duty security guard shot at least one of the four robbers, a 21-year-old who is now in the hospital in critical condition.
The other three individuals, all of whom were in their 20s, according to WJBK, ran away after the victim fired the shot.

During his escape attempt, police said the suspect took a female clerk hostage.
That’s when a law-abiding gun owner witnessed the robbery in progress and grabbed his firearm from his vehicle and confronted the suspect.
The heroic bystander then “fired at least one round, striking him in the body,” East Ridge Police Capt. Tim Mullinax told WDEF-TV.
He also revealed that the suspect was still holding the female victim when the gun owner took the risky and accurate shot to the suspect’s chest.
The armed customer will not face any charges.
The robbery suspect has not been identified by police because they are still trying to notify his next of kin.
