Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters and Hank Johnson should embarrass both the Democrat Party and the African-American community. If it weren't for the racism in their communities would they be elected?

Sheila Jackson Lee's shining moments:

1. Stated that the government should give UNEMPLOYMENT benefits to ”WORKING men and women”;
-
2. Denounced WikiPEDIA (not WikiLEAKS) for its ”intrusion” in assisting Russia with the election;
-
3. Asked her fellow Democrats to write up Executive Orders for the President to proudly sign (believing that it was the job of Congress to draft Presidential Executive Orders);
-
4. Stated ”We have martial law” from the House floor (apparently not knowing what that meant???);
-
5. Said ”Don’t blame the gangbangers” for using guns to commit crimes (defending the criminals while meanderingly blaming gun laws for the crimes the criminals commit);
-
6. Pontificated in 2010 that there were still TWO Vietnams (”North and South) working side by side in peace (I kid you not. Her exact quote: ”Today we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace. I would look for better human rights record for North Vietnam, but they’re living side by side.”);
-
7. As pointed out, stated from the House floor that the Constitution was 400 years old.
-
And WORSE! Why doesn’t someone – really almost anyone – run against her and just use her own words in the campaign ads? Anyone with a decent grasp of facts should win handily.

Not to mention her request at NASA to see the flag "our guys" planted on Mars.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) made several gaffes during an interview on CNN with Alisyn Camerota about the effects of Hurricane Harvey and what help Texans needed from the federal government.
Camerota was pressuring the representative on why she skipped the vote to fund relief efforts for the destruction following upon Hurricane Sandy on the east coast in 2012 and 2013.
“But just so that everybody’s clear,” Camerota said, “we’re talking about superstorm Sandy, that’s what we’re talking about in 2012 and 2013, and just so that we’re clear, since you’re saying that you voted along with Democrats to give the maximum amount, why did you skip that vote, the House, the HR152 [legislation]?”
“Well, let me be very clear,” Lee answered.
“I voted on many votes for Sandy Hook funding,” she said. “I voted on the main legislation for Sandy Hook funding. And so I think it’s important to focus on what was offensively done.”
Sandy Hook was the name of the elementary school in Connecticut where 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot and killed children in one of the worst gun attacks in recent U.S. history. Lee was clearly confusing “Sandy Hook” with “Hurricane Sandy.”
“And we thank you for being with us, just one last note,” Camerota said, “Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey says that he is urging all of the New Jersey House members to help Texas despite whatever happened in 2012 and 2013. He understands having lived through it that Texas really needs help.”
While Camerota tried to move on from Lee, she interrupted and said, “We thank Governor Crispy,” in a accidental slip of the tongue while trying to say “Governor Christie.”
The death toll from Hurricane Harvey has now topped 20 and law enforcement officials expect many more to be discovered when the flooding recedes.
Representative Jackson Lee was mocked by conservative news outlets in 2016 when she claimed that the Constitution was 400 years old – she was only off by 173 years.
