Transgender Democratic nominee for governor in Vermont admits she can’t define socialism...she is against it though what's she's for is rather vague. Socialism and Puritanism have much in common. You see she and her friends will get to decide what you can have.
Vermont gubernatorial candidate, Christine Hallquist, sat down for an interview with CNN’s John Berman to discuss being the first transgender nominee for a major political party. Hallquist won the Democratic primary for governor on Tuesday.
During an interview with CNN, Berman referred to a Gallup poll that found that socialism is much more popular among Democrats than capitalism. Hallquist was asked by Berman if those figures surprised her at all and whether or not she supports capitalism.
Hallquist affirmed she isn’t really big on labels “because they’re used to separate people.”
“Do you support capitalism?” Berman asked.
“Obviously, the long history of measuring ourselves by increasing gross domestic product is a flawed measure. That just encourages consumption, and we see what consumption is doing to our world,” Hallquist said.
Berman then pressed Hallquist again about her fondness for socialism and its structures.
“I’m not sure I even know what socialism is, so I don’t have the background to answer that question,” Hallquist said.
After hearing her response to the question Pat Gray was beyond peeved.
“That person, just won a Democratic Party nomination to be the next governor of a state in the United States of America! And she doesn’t know what socialism is?!” Pat said on Thursday’s episode of “Pat Gray Unleashed.”
