A fun read and an even better set of comments

Copenhagen: the sweet sound of exploding watermelons

For Photobob comments of note:

AGW deniers, like creationists and flat earthers, are anti-intellectual and anti-science.
There’s no point in reasoning with these people, since they have by definition abandoned reason.
The fact is that Western imperialism and free-market capitalism is fundamentally flawed and irrational. Of course, the logic of scientific socialism had already demonstrated this to everyone except the parasitic banking classes, reactionaries and the brainwashed masses.
Now climate science has shown that our selfish capitalist lifestyle is anti-science, anti-reason and is destroying the planet. Let all who have brains now recognise that capitalism is dead, that a transition to socialism is inevitable, and that all who oppose the relentless march of history will be trampled under the feet of progress.
Thanks to progressive leaders like Obama, even the last bastion of capitalism, the US, is already making the transition towards scientific socialism. Obama’s healthcare bill is passing despite the efforts of the reactionary Hannan.
Evolution teaches us that those who refuse to adapt will be left behind and die out. History is evolving towards scientific socialism – this is the inevitable trend of history, confirmed by economics and climate science. The Tories, UKIP and all reactionaries will soon die out – their core vote is over 60 – and soon nothing will stand in the way of progress.

Leftwing activists fought for the freedom from thetyranny of freedom so that Poles, Romanians, Czechs, Hungarians, Latvians etc could enjoy the glories of the Soviet empire.Leftwing activists brought the social progress known as North Korea, East Germany, Communist China, USSR, Nazi GermanySocislists were practicing Eugenics as social policy until the 70s in Sweden and until the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Those old farts on the Right liberated millions from Fabian-inspired slavery. Mankind strives for personal liberty and personal progress, not the regressive dogma of “Progress”, which, like Progressive Rock in the 70s was a dinosaur before it was a year old.
