Iran Trying to Buy 1,350 Tons of Uranium from Kazakhstan?
The Iranians seem to be once again evading UN sanctions. According to the report the sale was being managed on the Kazakh side by "state employees acting without government approval". Yeah right. If you believe that, I have some beautiful Aral Sea beachfront property to sell you. Given how close the Kazakh are to the Soviets, I mean Russians, I don't think a sale of this magnitude ($450 million) could be done, or even get to this stage, without their approval.
