Hillary is not tone deaf she's self absorbed and arrogant.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is being called "tone-deaf" after her campaign scheduled a major campaign rally at a New York park for next weekend, forcing a planned children's event to cancel.
The children's event at Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, called "Imagination Playground," was nixed to accommodate the Democratic presidential candidate and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, The New York Post reported.
Also in jeopardy is an annual celebration called "Roosevelt Island Day," which features a blood drive and free rides for kids, which will be held at a senior center on June 13, the same day as Mrs. Clinton's rally, The Post reported.
"It's going to be horrendous logistically," Sherie Helstien, vice president of the island's community association, told The Post.
The island only has one main road.
Mrs. Helstien's husband, Matthew Katz, who also served as president of the association, was incensed that residents didn't receive notice of the rally from the Clinton camp.
"I think the campaign should have reached out to the community representatives of 14,000 people — absolutely," Mr. Katz, who voted for Mrs. Clinton and canvassed for her in Pennsylvania, told The Post. "We are not just a memorial and a park. We're a thriving community of 14,000 people. It's just tone-deaf to ignore that."
Sally Minard, president of the Four Freedoms Park Conservancy, promised to reschedule the Imagination Playground event.
"We'll definitely put it on a different weekend," she told The Post. "People just love it."
