MYFOXNY.COM - Two men have been arrested on charges related to a terror raid on a mosque in Queens last year. One of the men, Adis Medunjanin, 25, was involved in a car accident in College Point, Queens on Thursday. The FBI had Medunjanin under intense surveillance, according to sources.
Sources told Fox 5 News that Medunjanin was apparently trying to shake a tail and crashed his vehicle on the Whitestone Expressway.
Authorities executed a search warrant in Medunjanin's apartment in Queens on Thursday in connection with that investigation. Sources say his passport was seized by the FBI.
Medunjanin was taken to New York Hospital-Queens and was treated for minor injuries.
Zarein Ahmedzay from Queens was also charged. Both men will be arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court on Friday.
There were no immediate details on the charges against the men, according to Kolko and Robert Nardoza, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in Brooklyn.
Nardoza said the men were expected to appear in court later Friday.
Colorado airport driver, Najibullah Zazi, previously pleaded not guilty to charges in the terror investigation. He is accused of getting al-Qaida training to build homemade bombs to attack New York City.
