Now I am not fond of Hugo Boss but his business decision to close the Ohio plant is no doubt based on either not being able to sell the stuff made there or the operations lack of economic viability. So, if Mr. Glover wanted to really help these workers he should encourage Hollywood to buy the products not boycott them.
Mr. Glover also exhibits the leftist mindset of punishing anyone who do the things they don't approve of. Communists never acknowledge what happens when you focus strictly on jobs and not the products made. Mr. Glover is an economic imbecile. What if his movies don't sell should he get his millions from the studio anyway.
By the way, how many jobs has Mr. Glover created? Typical of the left style over substance all the time.
Glover: Help Ohio plant, shun Hugo Boss at OscarsThe Associated Press, March 6, 2010
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Actor and activist
Danny Glover is calling on Academy Awards nominees and others in the film industry to not wear Hugo Boss suits at Sunday's awards ceremony.
The "Lethal Weapon" star makes the request in a letter on behalf of 375 Cleveland factory workers who'll lose their jobs if the German company closes the plant next month as planned.
The Feb. 26 letter asks Hollywood to "take a small stand for American workers." It asks Oscars attendees to wear on their lapels a pin reading, "Keep the Hugo Boss Plant Open."
