Caught on video: Female Trump supporter’s hair set on fire at DC inauguration protest
Amid the number of masked, black-clad rioters seen smashing windows, torching vehicles and spitting at police in Washington, D.C., on Inauguration Day in protest of Republican President Donald Trump, another clip that’s surfaced shows thuggery on a smaller but no less heartless scale.
As anti-Trump and pro-Trump folks were seen on the video pressed together in one group, it all looked like friendly First Amendment expression. Lots of smiles as the anti-Trump protesters chanted “This is what democracy looks like!” and then “Love trumps hate!”
But when a female Trump supporter posed for a photo in front of a Trump protester — as the chant turned to “No justice, no peace!” — things got ugly.
And with a “Stop Violence Against Women” sign held just feet away, the video shows a hand reaching between people to the back of the Trump supporter — and moments later her hair is on fire.
A fellow Trump supporter quickly stepped in and put out the fire, but the culprit slipped back into the crowd.
Another clip in slow motion clearly shows a hand holding a lighter, reaching between people and then quickly pulling away.
Love trumps hate, y’all. (Content warning: Offensive language)
