Is this a sign the feminists are in trouble? A place for men who think they are women to go...

The Women’s Student Assembly at the University of Southern California — which addresses “feminist issues” and seeks to “dismantle oppressive structures of power” — just decided to remove the word “Women” from its name.
Now called the Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment, its Assistant Director Maddie Hengst said members “don’t want to alienate any of our constituency by focusing exclusively on women,” the Daily Trojan reported.
Meaning men will get attention? Well, not exactly.
Hengst insisted that its “mission statement recognizes that we do not just cater to female-identified students, but also cater to students of all gender identities” — in other words “both cisgender and transgender students,” the paper said.
“I hope that in the future women wouldn’t feel alienated by our organization or feel inadequately represented by our organization,” she said, the Daily Trojan reported. “I think right now the organization wasn’t appropriately representing our mission statement, so this name change isn’t really changing the purpose of our organization at all — it’s just better reflecting what our mission statement has been and the work we’ve been doing for the past few years.”
